I-81 exit 39 north and southbound off ramps closed, bridge reduced to one lane on Route 11 due to emergency bridge work in Smyth County

BRISTOL – Due to emergency bridge work, the I-81 exit 39 north and southbound off ramps in Smyth County will be closed and traffic on Route 11 at the bridge will be reduced to one lane for approximately one week starting Friday (January 16).

All traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction on the bridge using traffic signals until work is complete. Motorists should be alert to possible delays during this time.
