Updates, involvement and future impacts

The Improve 81 Corridor Improvement Plan is expected to last until at least 2033, with projects completed at various times. There are several ways to get involved to support its current and future impact:

• I-81 Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public, and meeting minutes are also available to review afterward. 
• Public meetings are also held for the Corridor Improvement Plan update along with individual projects. Collaboration with community members, including opportunities for two-way communication about the plan, is important for the success of the program to be realized. 
• VDOT shares plan updates regularly online on the Improve 81 news and multimedia page and through its social media channels.
