Route 61 bridge over North Fork of the Clinch River in Tazewell closed due to replacement

BRISTOL, Va. – Due to the Route 61 (Freedom Avenue) bridge replacement over the North Fork of the Clinch River in Tazewell County, the bridge will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, March 13. During the closure a detour will be in place using Dial Rock Road and Market Street.

Motorists should use caution in the area and be alert to signs and message boards.

The project is expected to be complete in September.
