The Route 624 (Fraleytown Road) bridge located over North Fork Clinch River in the Duffield area of Scott County has been closed due to conditions found during a scheduled inspection.
BRISTOL – The Route 624 (Fraleytown Road) bridge located over North Fork Clinch River in the Duffield area of Scott County has been closed due to conditions found during a scheduled inspection.
The inspection found extensive deterioration on the top portion of the bridge, or superstructure. Motorists can use Route 638 to detour to Route 604 (Pattonsville Road).
Repair options for the bridge are being evaluated. The bridge is tentatively scheduled for replacement in summer 2024.
