Temporary closure of Route 63 in the Dante area due to bridge replacement project on Route 687

BRISTOL — Due to the removal of the Route 687 bridge located over Route 63 in the Dante area of Russell County, Route 63 will be closed for approximately five hours Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured through the Town of Dante.

The closure is necessary to ensure safety while bridge beams from the old Route 687 bridge are removed.

Use caution in this area and pay close attention to signs, message boards and flaggers.
