VDOT sets public meeting for proposed Route 83 roundabout at Route 637 in Dickenson County

Monday, July 24 from 4 - 6 p.m. at Ridgeview High School

BRISTOL—This month, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a design public meeting for a proposed roundabout at the intersection of Routes 83 and 637 (D.C. Caney Ridge Road and Rose Ridge) in Dickenson County. 

The open house format public meeting will take place Monday, July 24 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Ridgeview High School, located at 310 Wolfpack Way in Clintwood. The project website includes materials that will be available at the public hearing: https://www.publicinput.com/f2553.

The project will enhance safety at the intersection of Route 83 and Route 637 by constructing a single-lane roundabout.  The project includes replacing the current park and ride lot with a new park and ride lot at the northeast area of the intersection.

Comments regarding the project can be provided to VDOT until August 3, 2023, via the following methods:
