Virtual comment opportunity available for Route 52 / 4th Street STARS Study (Wytheville)
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is asking the public for input on a survey regarding a portion of the U.S. Route 52 / 4th Street corridor in the Town of Wytheville near exit 70.
BRISTOL—The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is asking the public for input on a survey regarding a portion of the U.S. Route 52 / 4th Street corridor in the Town of Wytheville near exit 70.
A survey is available June 14 – June 28, 2023 at the following link: https://www.virginiadot.org/US52-4thStreetStudy
The survey is part of a study that began this year. Elements of the study include:
- Turn-lane improvements
- Traffic signal synchronization/coordination
- Intersection improvements
- Pedestrian improvements/connectivity
- How businesses are accessed
- Other traffic improvements that address safety and potential congestion issues.
Citizens can go online to https://www.virginiadot.org/US52-4thStreetStudy to review the study information and to take the survey. The survey will remain open through June 28.
