Weekend lane closures scheduled for Interstate 81 in Bristol and Washington County

BRISTOL — Work to shift traffic through the new work zones between Interstate 81 exits 10 and 7 will take place this weekend (Feb. 3-4) in the Bristol area. 

On Saturday (Feb. 3) beginning at approximately 6 a.m., be alert to a northbound lane closure beginning near exit 7 and extending north one mile. The southbound lane closure, which will be located between exits 10 and 7, will begin Saturday night or early Sunday morning and will remain in place until approximately 6 a.m. Monday (Feb. 5).  

Allow extra travel time and be alert to signs and message boards through the work zones.
