Salem District Traffic Alert: A Section of Route 606 in Craig County closed due to pipe washout

Drivers should expect repairs to take two to three weeks

SALEM – Due to the recent storm overnight on Monday, June 16 into Tuesday, June 17, a pipe has been washed out on Route 606 (Caldwell Mountain Road) in Craig County and the road is currently closed.

The closure is located between Calvary Retreat Road and Bobcat Lane on Route 606 (Caldwell Mountain Road) in the vicinity between Hebron Church and Camp Easterseals.

The road is expected to be closed for about two to three weeks or until the pipe can be replaced and repairs to the roadway are made, weather permitting.

Signs will be in place for motorists to detour around the closure and drivers who live on the road may still access their homes on either side of the closure.
