Traffic Alert: Entrance ramp onto southbound Interstate 81 at Exit 94 in Pulaski County
Ramp expected to be closed for approximately two weeks

SALEM – As part of a ramp extension project at Exit 94 and 105 on Interstate 81 in Pulaski and Montgomery Counties, the first ramp closure on the project has been scheduled to begin next week.
Beginning Tuesday evening, September 23, the Exit 94 entrance ramp onto southbound I-81 will be closed for approximately two weeks. A signed detour will be in place directing traffic to use Draper Valley Road to get onto southbound I-81 at Exit 92.
In addition, a right lane closure will be in place on southbound I-81 during nighttime hours of 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning starting Sunday night, September 21.
As work progresses, additional ramp and lane closures can be expected with a scheduled completion date of summer 2026.
This project is part of the I-81 Corridor Improvement Program (CIP) to unlock I-81 by enhancing safety and reliability, reducing congestion and supporting economic growth.
