Traffic alert: Watch for change at Route 58 and Route 8 in Patrick County in September

SALEM — Weather permitting, drivers can expect a new traffic pattern at the intersection of Route 58 and Route 8 as part of the ongoing road widening project in Patrick County.

Starting Sept. 24, traffic will be shifted onto a new junction between Route 58 and Route 8 that is located just east of the current connection. 

Motorists should pay attention to signs and watch for new traffic patterns. Electronic message boards will be posted to alert drivers to the upcoming change.
