Traffic Alert graphic

STAUNTON — Paving operations require overnight closures of the westbound Interstate 66 exit 1A ramp onto southbound I-81 near the Frederick-Warren county line. The traffic restrictions are scheduled for 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Thursday night, October 2, and possibly again on Sunday night, October 5.

Motorists on westbound I-66 who need to reach southbound I-81 will detour at exit 1B onto northbound I-81 and then use the exit 302 (Middletown) interchange to access southbound I-81.

During the same work hours above, the paving work requires single-lane closures on southbound I-81 between mile marker 300.3 and 299.5.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
