STAUNTON — A portion of Route 608 (Draft Avenue) in the Stuarts Draft community of Augusta County will close to through traffic for about 48 hours beginning Wednesday morning, May 21. The closure is due to railroad crossing maintenance between Route 639 (Wayne Avenue) and Route 1511 (Flory Avenue).
Motorists can access homes and businesses on either side of the railway by approaching from the appropriate side of the crossing. Through traffic will use the posted detour as follows:
Route 608 is scheduled to reopen Friday morning, May 23. All work is weather permitting.
