Public hearing scheduled for Route 16 bridge replacement in Tazewell
Tuesday, December 16 at Tazewell Town Hall (4 - 6 p.m.)
TAZEWELL —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a public hearing for a project to replace the Route 16 (Fairground Road) bridge over the Clinch River in Tazewell.
The open house/drop-in format public hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 16 from 4 - 6 p.m. at Tazewell Town Hall, located at 211 Central Avenue.
The project includes replacing the existing 22-foot-wide, two lane, double-span bridge with a 30-foot-wide, two lane, single-span bridge.

Comments regarding the project can be provided to VDOT by December 26, 2025, via the following methods:
