Route 250 ramp onto I-81 Southbound Will Also Close
STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will perform emergency pothole repairs on Interstate 81 southbound at mile marker 222.5 near Staunton. This is on the I-81 bridge over Augusta Woods Drive. The right lane will be closed at this location from 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 2) through the early morning hours of Thursday, July 3.
In addition, the on-ramp from Route 250 (Jefferson Highway) onto I-81 southbound at exit 222 will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
All I-81 lanes and the on-ramp from Route 250 are expected to reopen by 8 a.m. on July 3. All work is weather permitting.
