Temporary closures on portion of Route 608 in Augusta County for pipe work

STAUNTON — The Virginia Department of Transportation will perform cross pipe replacement at several locations on Route 608 (Long Meadow Road) in Augusta County in an area north of Fishersville.

Route 608 will be closed between Route 796 (Kiddesville Road) and Route 795 (Entry School Road) during weekdays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., beginning Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26.

Traffic will use the following detour:

Traffic going north on Route 608 will turn right on Route 796 and then left on Route 795 and then back to Route 608. Southbound traffic will be in reverse order.

All work is weather permitting.
